helping Madam get ready for bed is one of my favorite parts of the day. it’s soft, quiet, and full of these little rituals that feel like ours. it’s not flashy service, not some grand task, but that’s what makes it so special. it’s private. and i get to be the last one who serves her before she sleeps.

it usually starts with me drawing her bath. i get the temperature just right and add whatever she wants that night. sometimes it’s bubbles, sometimes salts or oils. i light a candle if she’s in the mood. sometimes i stay and wash her back, other times she sends me to prepare the bedroom while she relaxes. either way, i’m working to make her space peaceful and perfect.

when she’s done, i help her dry off, gently patting her skin with warm towels. i lotion her legs, arms, and back. sometimes she sighs, and i know it feels good. she might sit at her vanity while i brush out her hair in slow, steady strokes. if she asks, i braid it for sleep or pin it up the way she likes.

i get her pajamas or nightgown, make sure the bed is turned down, and check that the pillows are fluffed just how she likes them. i refill her water glass, and if she wants a little sweet before bed, i have it ready. sometimes she reads, and sometimes i do.

the best part, though, is when she lets me kneel by her bed as she settles in. she might pet my hair or say something simple like “goodnight, duckie.” even if she doesn’t, i leave with my heart full because she let me be there. she let me care for her in that quiet, end-of-day way that makes me feel like i’m hers.

her bedtime routine isn’t just about sleep. it’s about comfort and trust. that last act of service each night is something i cherish deeply.
