Today is an important day for our country. It is an organized day of resistance, a chance to stand up and be heard. We are not okay with our country being hijacked by a convicted criminal for his own gain. We are not okay with people being taken off the streets because of the color of their skin. We are not okay watching decades of progress in voting rights and civil liberties being stripped away.

My boys and I will be out there today, joining a group of friends and allies, holding our signs and standing strong in peaceful protest. Our voices matter. Our presence matters. And together, we will remind those in power that submission to corruption is not an option.
