Now that Charlie’s feature article is posted, I wanted to share a bit of background on how that came to be. Charlie first reached out to the Forum some time ago with a letter that immediately caught our attention. There was something honest and compelling about his situation, and we’ve been trying to find ways to bring more of his voice into the Magazine ever since.

Recently, I finally had a wonderful conversation with his owner and girlfriend, Hannah. We talked openly about Charlie, his dynamic, and what might make sense for everyone involved. We were able to come to a terrific arrangement. Hannah will be assigning Charlie occasional writing tasks for us, and those pieces will be contributed on a donation basis, meaning free for the Magazine. That’s excellent news for our readers, because his life and perspective are genuinely fascinating to read about.

Beyond the writing arrangement, Hannah and I also began discussing something more personal. I’m actively working on improving my Domme skills, and Charlie would be a very interesting submissive to work with. Hannah has agreed to let me rent him for sessions when the timing works. I’ll be allowed to use my corporal punishment tools and even leave some marks on him, which tells me a great deal about the trust she has in both Charlie and me.

I’ve been trying to negotiate photo rights as part of that arrangement, but she’s understandably cautious there. I’m not giving up, but I respect that this trade is already complicated. In exchange, I’m offering Zeek’s website building skills, which are valuable, though admittedly not something Hannah herself needs.

However, she does have a friend with a small business who could really use those skills. Hannah is now working to barter with them, hopefully turning that into free products or services from her friend’s business. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but all the pieces are lining up.

As it turns out, Charlie has family here in Portland and visits them regularly. The plan is simple. He’ll come into town for a family visit, then spend about 48 hours at my house. He’ll have the guest room, of course, though I doubt he’ll spend much time in it.
