Ben is proving to be very handy. One of his current projects is building out what will become my private bedroom dungeon. He is soundproofing the room carefully and installing a simple fingerprint deadbolt on the door. The goal is privacy and peace of mind. I want a space where I can close the world out completely.
All of my toys will still be stored discreetly and out of sight, but the room itself will be dedicated to play, control, and intimacy. It gives Cody and me the freedom to take our time without worrying about curious interruptions or accidental discoveries. That matters when you have kids in the house.
Ben will also be handled in this room when appropriate, though most of our in scene time happens while the kids are at school. During those hours, the entire house belongs to me.
What I appreciate most is the intention behind it. This is not about excess. It is about creating a safe, private space that supports the structure of our household. Ben understands that, and he is building exactly what I asked for.
