this morning was special.

Madam had an early flight to catch, so i was already on alert duty. bags packed. coffee prepped. schedule double-checked. but she told me the night before that she wanted to be woken up even earlier than necessary.

and she said she wanted my special wake-up alarm.

that is not the kind with a snooze button.

at the designated time, i slipped quietly into her room. the light was still soft and blue from the early hour. i moved carefully, reverently, climbing into her bed and settling between her legs the way i know she likes.

there is something incredibly intimate about waking her like that. not rushed. not frantic. slow and deliberate. feeling her shift from sleep into awareness. hearing her breath change. sensing the moment she realizes exactly what is happening.

i focused on her completely. no distractions. just service. just devotion. letting her morning begin with pleasure instead of noise.

when she was fully awake, she smiled down at me with that look that says she made the right choice.

and honestly? there is no better way for this duckie to start a day than being her favorite alarm clock.
