First off, Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there tomorrow. When I started my journey being a Professional Dominatrix, over 17 years ago, my son was 12 years, his father and I had not been together since 1999, his dad has always, still is a major part of our son’s life, which has been a major positive factor in raising our son. My ex is actually very supportive in my Pro Domme business. My ex and our son (as a 29 year old man, now) have been to my events. When I started being a Professional Dominatrix back in 2008, I was working a corporate job at a newspaper during the day. I had to keep what I do a secret. So by day, I worked as a Classified Representative and a Professional Dominatrix at night. I would work when my son was with his dad and not when my son was with me. I had dropped my son of at his dad’s one afternoon, had my bag of implements in the car, went to the store to get snacks for my son and a friend he had coming over to his dad’s house. I put my work bag into the apartment, went to the store, when I came back, his dad had come home, they had hung my paddles on the wall, my son asked me why I had all those. I told him   I get paid to discipline men when they are bad and they pay me. My son and his friends said that was cool, his dad already knew. I told our son I would only be seeing subs when he wasn’t at home. When my son was in high school, his friends found out through the friend who was with our son that day at the apartment. At lunch, the kids asked if I do things like he guy on Fifty Shades of Grey and my son he has no idea, didn’t want to know. Lol.      Over the years, my son, his friends and his dad, had attended my events, my son and our family friend, vended at one of my events. Their table was at the other side of the venue, which his friends would come up and let him know they saw me offering spanking and flogging demos. My son said he already knew. I feel blessed being his mom and balancing being a Professional Dominatrix. It was not easy keeping it a secret but I did for a while before my son found out.
