Last fall – the weekend after Mollie hosted Christopher at her place for us – Katie invited krissy and me to join her and kevin for a day at her bull, Jerry’s, place.  Out in the country, a county away.  About 90 mins drive.  Said there’s access to the lake over a path through an adjacent property, which Jerry has permission to use, etc., etc.

I had meant to write about the day – which was great! – but alas, got busy and never got to it.

But I have to tell this – something at the day’s start …

My friend, Kim, runs a small store and restaurant outside of our town.  She’s widely known as a great cook, particularly breakfasts, and more particularly her biscuits.

Her daughter is helping her now.

Her grocery is where I can send krissi to pick up odds and ends when they’re needed.  Naked.

To have hot biscuits at 6AM they obviously get started early.

So, that morning, I arranged to swing by to help.
