We’re finally down to the last two truckloads, plus one particularly important item that still needs to make the trip: me!

The boys have been working hard over the past several weeks, hauling load after load to the new house, unpacking essentials, organizing rooms, and getting everything ready for our arrival. Meanwhile, the old house is starting to look strangely empty. After living here for so long, it’s a little surreal watching our life disappear into boxes and U-Haul trucks, but I’m more excited than sentimental. I’m ready to get settled into the new place and start making it truly ours.

I’ve officially scheduled next week as moving week, which means I expect to be rather occupied. There are still those final two truckloads to deal with, plenty of last-minute details, contractors finishing things up, and an entire household of boys who will need direction as we get everything into its proper place.

Fortunately, I’ve got plenty of manpower. The boys have done an excellent job getting us this far, and now I intend to put every one of them to work getting us across the finish line.

So if I’m a little quieter than usual next week, you’ll know why. Mizz Geena is relocating her queendom.

And I cannot wait to wake up in my new bedroom, have one of my boys bring me my morning coffee, and look out those beautiful windows knowing we’re finally home.
