The moment I read the assignment, I started thinking about what the stars would look like. Would I have to draw them neatly on my body, carefully considering their size and placement? Or should I simply draw as many as I could, without overthinking it?

Well… this is what I did.

I started with the yellow color, but then I broke away from it and decided to just pop in a line of stars. I used a darker shade and started drawing as many as I could, placing them wherever I found a spot, until there was almost nowhere left to draw.

There were only two spaces left on my chest, so I picked up the red color, drew just one star, and placed it on the right side.

Now came the hardest part: how was I going to photograph myself hopping on one leg?

So I prepared my gear—camera, lights, and triggers. I set the timer, took my position, and here I was, ready to sing.

Twinkle, twinkle, little star…

I kept singing and hopping until I felt I was ready to take the shot. It took a few trials, but eventually, I got the one you see here.
