I bought my first cage a year ago this week. I was excited to try it on as I had been curious about being caged for quite awhile. It had 5 different sized rings to fit around the balls and I started with the largest, I believe 45mm. It was tight, very tight. And the cage had several pieces needed to secure it to my cock. Being hard ( even with my small cock) didn’t help. I struggled for almost an hour getting it on. I looked in a mirror and I was like wow! But did I mention it was tight?! Within 15 minutes my cock and balls were very red. With 30 they were turning purplish! I know being caged is for the most part is punishment but, I don’t think a Domme would want you to have permanent damage. I kept the cage for a few months but eventually discarded it. Lesson learned here, do some research and measure yourself before purchasing a cage. I would also say purchase a cage with a ring that fits, (firmly enough but not so tight it could do harm) the cage itself and, a lock. Not a cage that has several pieces needed to put on. Since giving myself to be owned by Mizz Geena, I have purchased 3 cages, 2 metal ones and 1 made of a light composite material. One of the metal ones, black, is very easy to put on. However, it is very heavy and bulky. I still like wearing it when I’m home doing chores or just hanging out. I KNOW I have a cage on. The other metal cage is polished and “shows” my cock somewhat. It is somewhat bulky and a little difficult to put on but I hope to be able to use it in future assignments. The composite one, black and light, a lot less bulk is the one I wear most. Im wearing it now as Mizz Geena has me under 24/7 caged. It is somewhat difficult to put on and if not careful I get pinched. Maybe the above can be advice for future subs when getting their cage.

Great and informative post, and fully agree. I find myself to truely be around the 47-48mm mark for a good fit. With 45 being too small much like you mention but 50mm a little looser than I’d like.
Thankfully a cheap strap of Amazon helps there – also helps pick up some of the weight of the heavier cages and holds it in a better position for me (no dragging between the legs when walking!)
Another part I feel you elude to is trying a few before you settle on a longer term device – or simply have some options for different purposes. I mean not sure how long I could go in my flat device! But short term it’s fine.
AliExpress is great for this with sites like Oxy-shop being pretty competitive on some cages too with a slightly better product overall (and likely a better customer support too if needed)!
