and just like that, duckie is a happy boy again.

i was grounded for an entire week, and it officially lifted at midnight. this morning, i prepared Madam’s favorite breakfast and brought it to her bedside. fresh juice, hot coffee, flowers in a little vase—everything perfect.

i followed protocol, quietly. opened the drapes to let the morning light in. then turned my attention to Madam, ready to gently wake her.

but she was already awake.

we made eye contact. she grinned. pointed at me. and motioned for me to enter her bed.

and duckie? duckie did what duckie does best. i served. i pleased. i made Madam smile.

it felt so good to be useful again. to be wanted. to be back in her favor.

her favorite breakfast? a chilled fruit and yogurt parfait with honey and toasted almonds. she likes it cold because one of her favorite morning routines is to enjoy her breakfast after she enjoys duckie.
