Favorite Holiday Movies

Hello team,
With the holidays fast approaching, I thought it would be nice for us all to share something a little lighthearted—My Favorite Holiday Movie. While I’m not expecting these posts to have much to do with femdom (unless you’ve somehow unearthed a femdom-themed holiday film—if so, please, do share!), I think it’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season together.
Many of us will be offline soon, so let’s get these posts up before we dive into our celebrations.
As for me, my favorite holiday movie is Elf. It’s funny, heartwarming, and never fails to lift my spirits. The first time I watched it, I was having an especially rough holiday season. Everything seemed to be going wrong—work stress, family challenges, and the overwhelming pressure to make everything perfect had drained the joy right out of me. Laughter felt like a distant memory.
A friend dragged me to see Elf, promising it would help me get into the holiday spirit. At first, I was skeptical. But the moment Buddy the Elf started wreaking havoc in the department store or deadpanned his love for syrup on spaghetti, I couldn’t help it—I burst out laughing. By the time the snowball fight scene rolled around, I was practically crying with laughter.
That movie reminded me of the simple joys of the season—the silliness, the fun, and the importance of not taking everything so seriously. It was exactly the medicine I needed, and it’s been a personal favorite ever since.
So, what’s your pick? I can’t wait to read everyone’s choices and the stories behind them.
Warm holiday wishes,
Mizz Geena
Elf is my favorite too!
Elf I think is my wife’s favourite. I mean, we have a few movie traditions in our house, and she’s insisted that we kick off Christmas season by watching Elf first of all our Christmas movies. I bought her the 4k version as an early Christmas present as until now we’ve only had the DVD (I figured if we’re watching it every year, we should have the best version.) I thought it was a great idea, but she couldn’t give a rat’s ass, just saying, “We already have it.” I guess I appreciate stuff like that more than her.
My favourite is It’s a Wonderful Life, which we’ve been watching every Christmas Eve since we’ve met. I learned about this movie probably in my mid-20s, having stumbled upon it by accident with it being on TV every year and finally leaving the channel on once. I had no idea at the time of its cultural significance, but I suddenly understood about 20 jokes and references that until then I just didn’t get. Showed the wife, and she instantly fell in love with it.
Another tradition is immediately after watching that, we watch the “lost ending” to It’s a Wonderful Life, according to SNL, and then a stick-figure version of a late scene of it (seen on SNL, and was one of the things I didn’t understand until watching the movie), both definitely worth looking up.
