Mindful of Health Awareness Month

Mindfulness…hmmm…ohmmm…
Excuse me, i’m being mindful here. Thanks for your patience.
Yes, i know it’s one of those overly used terms. Trendy. Fashionable. Cliche’. But that aside, i do believe mindfulness is fundamental not only to health, but to all of life in general. It can extend to include everything in our consciousness: diet, exercise, sleep, work, sex, femdom, etc. And it doesn’t necessarily have to imply some deep guru-like spiritual meditation on a deserted mountain top.
It can simply mean paying attention to the moment, internally and externally; with purpose, without judgement.
Not the future, not the past. Just now. Effortlessly, with focus.
A meal is more than a meal when you allow yourself to pay attention to it. A walk becomes more than just physical exercise. In mindfulness practice, “being” becomes something more, involving focus, purpose, deeper awareness and peace of mind.
Far from being an expert, this is something i am always working to improve. In June and in all months. For better health, both mentally and physically, as they are indeed inseparable.
Now if you will excuse me, i have a mind to attend to.
