Weekend Work Mode, With Perks

This is a productive working weekend in my household.
First off, my husband is home for at least another week. I’ve been enjoying our time together, but he’s also got a long project list and plans to put the boys to work all day. They’ll be power-washing the deck, hauling some old furniture out of the basement for a Goodwill drop, cleaning up that eyesore woodpile in the yard, and probably making a few runs to the hardware store. Great — because that means the one place they won’t be is in my office.
Today, I’ve locked myself in to focus on my training program. I need to get this work done without interruption. That said, I’ll be taking scheduled breaks to keep my mind fresh.
Which brings me to now: thing1 is kneeling by my armchair, waiting to serve me during my next break. Ladies, it is hard work building a training empire… but there are definitely some perks 😏
Sounds like you have mastered the art of maintaining a work / life (“fun”) balance. Glad you are getting some distraction free (?) time to catch up with some of your projects.
May or may not be curious to see the final result – although who am I kidding I’d happily take the first draft too.
