Had a long-ass talk with my girlfriend last night. Things are really bad for her sister, and she’s staying with her for the long haul—could be weeks, could be months. No real end date.

Here’s the kicker. We’ve always had an open thing, but only when she gave the green light. Last night, she made her call—she wants us to be fully independent while she’s away. And by wants, I mean ordered. I have exactly 72 hours to get fucked and report back.

So now I’m stuck in this weird place, bouncing between heartbreak over this huge shift in my life, rock-hard excitement over a no-strings one-night stand, and sheer panic because I have no idea how to date in 2025. Like, what the fuck even is a “vibe check?”
