Gags Can Be Dangerous

by | Apr 25, 2025 | 1 comment

Gags add intensity, but they also take away a sub’s ability to speak—making traditional safewords useless. Always establish clear non-verbal stop signals ahead of time, and monitor your partner closely throughout the scene. Gags demand extra vigilance to keep things safe, consensual, and in control.

To emphasize: gags or not, Dommes MUST pay close attention. In the nirvana that scenes can become, some sobriety must remain. In krissi’s punishment, he was gagged (and eventually drooling around it) and bound, hands and feet. We had agreed on head-nod signals but I could tell he couldn’t use them consciously.
