Going into a scene on an empty stomach is a mistake. Low blood sugar can lead to dizziness, nausea, weakness, or even fainting, especially during long or physically demanding play. Holding positions, managing pain, and staying mentally present all require energy. Eat a balanced meal or snack beforehand that includes protein and carbohydrates to keep you steady. Hydration matters too. You cannot serve properly if your body is struggling to keep up. Taking care of your basic needs is part of being prepared and reliable.
