A Women in History I Wish I Could Serve

When I was asked to write a piece on this, I thought easy there are so many options, first I went for the selfish route thinking actors or musicians I liked, then I put a more serious head on and thought of women who have done great things or advanced a specific field in one way. Again a few options but I tried to work out how I could benefit or learn from serving these.
It was at this point I decided to add in the history spin and go back further and I reached a decision of Cleopatra. I used this as a bit of a mini project to learn more about not only her but a subject close to an important woman in my life – Egyptians.
My further reasons for why I would like to serve this great lady isn’t just that she was the last ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt but what she did during that time. She formed strategic alliances – once that benefited her and her people even if it wasn’t a traditional Egyptian approach. She formed a major partnership with the Romans which saw two very different cultures (worlds) come together. But Cleopatra herself, has left behind a legacy that still stands being a symbol of intelligence, charisma and political prowess. Her life has been subject to art, literature and drama.
Adding to the mix the major mystery of the Egyptians themselves, how technologically advanced they were in aspects the beauty behind how they are pictured with gold, jewels and how commited they were to worshipping their gods. I think it would have been a hard but interesting time to experience, and to be able to do so serving such a great important woman would be an experience to remember.
Strong choice, well reasoned.
Thank you Mizz Geena
