Ben is back.
One of the first things we talked about was what it felt like to be the prize in a lost bet. He laughed and admitted it was… strange. He said there were moments where he almost forgot he was away because he stayed so busy serving, but every now and then it would hit him that he was in another woman’s house because I had lost a wager.
Corrine definitely runs a different household than I do.
Mine is fairly structured and predictable. Hers is much more social. Friends come and go throughout the week, and apparently everyone knew Ben was there. He told me he spent most of the week simply being useful. Cooking, cleaning, running errands, helping wherever he was needed, and generally being kept busy from morning until night.
He also admitted that Corrine’s friends wasted very little time introducing themselves. He laughed while telling me they all seemed eager to “meet Heather’s Ben,” and before long he found himself serving far more people than he ever expected. By the end of the week, he said he felt completely worn out.
Honestly, I think that was part of the lesson.
Every household has its own rhythm, and every Domme has her own style. Spending a week adapting to someone else’s expectations was probably one of the best training experiences I could have given him.
One thing I appreciated was his practicality when he got home. The very day he returned, he scheduled a full STI screening. I hadn’t even suggested it. He simply considered it the responsible thing to do after the week he’d had. That level of maturity made me smile.
Now my property is back where he belongs.
The house is running smoothly again, dinner magically appears on time, and I have my houseboy back. I think Ben enjoyed the adventure, and I know he learned a great deal.
That said, I suspect he’s just as happy to be home as I am to have him back.
