Today I gave our boys an assignment for World Gratitude Day. I asked each of them to choose a woman who has made a significant difference in his life and write about her. I specifically told them to look outside FemdomU because I wanted them to think about the women who helped shape their lives long before many of them ever found their way to us.

I knew the boys would obey. What I wasn’t quite prepared for was the incredible variety of stories I would get to read.

They wrote about mothers, teachers, friends, mentors, and women who appeared at important moments in their lives. Some wrote about women who had been steady influences for years. Others remembered someone whose kindness or guidance came at exactly the moment they needed it. There were stories about being challenged, encouraged, protected, understood, and simply having someone believe in them.

What impressed me most was how heartfelt and honest the posts were. The assignment wasn’t about submission or earning points. I wanted the boys to stop for a moment and recognize a woman who left their life better than she found it. They did exactly that, and in many cases they shared memories and feelings I had never heard from them before.

I’ve spent a good portion of today reading their posts, and I’m very proud of all of them. They chose some wonderful women to honor, and they gave those women the recognition they deserved.
