A stranger praised me today for opening the car door for my Mistress. “He’s a fine gentleman,” he smiled. I chuckled quietly to myself—that’s the vanilla world’s equivalent of saying “good boy!“.
Little did he know that minutes earlier I was on my knees, naked scrubbing the bathroom floor while she sat back, enjoyed the coffee I had just served her, and amusingly, watches my collared balls jiggle beneath me as I served.
I didn’t start out as the submissive I am today. True growth in service is rarely a straight line, and every path looks different. For me, submission is a continuous journey—a deep dive into fears and fantasies, a practice in trust and paradoxically, a way of becoming stronger.
Early on, figuring out what I wanted was tricky—and I realized that was completely normal. There was no shame in trying to figure it out. Having just a few vague ideas and simply knowing what I didn’t want was more than enough for me to start an honest conversation.
Whether my goal was a specific scene or just handing over the reins for a Domme to decide everything, I learned over time that those preferences were just a snapshot of where I was right then. With time, my desires shifted drastically.
Many submissives I’ve spoken with over the years describe the same early hurdle: a painful, internal tug-of-war as they try to make sense of who they are. The raw, innate urge to submit to a powerful woman is there, but external pressures and mental blocks keep them from stepping into it, leaving them hesitant and paralyzed by their own wants.
In my search for answers, I devoured every book and podcast I could find. The reality? A vast amount of BDSM material out there is mostly garbage. I really have to sift through mountains of fluff to uncover anything with genuine depth. Early on, I fell into the common trap of assuming Female Domination was strictly physical and sexual—a fetish meant to be dusted off only for isolated bedroom scenes. I pictured Dommes operating purely through constant severity, cold anger, and breaking a man down.
I even lamented to my Mistress—who was going through a Domme apprenticeship at the time—that there was virtually nothing useful out there for submissives-in-training. Still, over the years, I quietly accumulated binders full of saved articles that caught my attention.
Then one day, I stumbled across an article titled “Being Heard Without Leading as a Submissive Husband“ in FemdomU Magazine’s “Sub Corner.” For the first time, I read something that resonated with me on a deep, personal level. Looking through my growing binder, I realized I was clipping FemdomU pieces far more than anything else.
What made them so valuable wasn’t just how they explained D/s, but how the authors shared authentic pieces of their real lives. I got to learn about Mizz Geena and “Thing One” and “Thing Two,” follow Mistress Heather’s adventures with her submissive husband Cody, and read about this funny guy named “duckie”—who, at first, I couldn’t quite figure out.
As I followed FemdomU, my own desires finally came into sharp focus. I share my life with someone I’d describe as a natural Domme in a relationship grounded in long-standing love, trust, and intimacy. Our dynamic has grown enormously over time: what began as occasional D/s play had, by this point, morphed into a full contracted Female-Led Relationship (FLR).
Before discovering FemdomU, my understanding of Female Domination was rigid, theatrical, and narrow. I assumed it was mostly about transactional scenes, high heels, and consensual cruelty. Getting involved with this community shattered those misconceptions and completely reframed how I view total power exchange—proving that trading my male ego for quiet obedience, total loyalty, and reasonable grammar was easily the best trade-up deal of my life.
Enrolling in the FemdomU Academy gave me the exact structured framework I needed. It taught me that real submission isn’t about attention-seeking, but about discipline, self-improvement, and rigorous attention to detail. Now, as a contributor, connecting with and reading about fellow service subs like duckie, Zeek, and Levi has shown me the true power of community. I learned that navigating daily chores and domestic discipline is a shared journey—even if it mostly involves bonding over a mutual hatred of fitted sheets, broccoli, and wearing clothes.
Most of all, I constantly benefit from the wisdom of the FemdomU Conclave. The insightful articles written by the Conclave Dommes—especially Mizz Geena’s writings on quiet authority and lifestyle worship—opened my eyes to the psychological depth of FLRs, proving that a Domme’s authority exists far beyond simple anatomy or superficial props.
My goal is to continue refining my service, mastering self-discipline, and striving for total alignment with my Mistress’s will. That passing stranger saw a chivalrous man opening a car door and called him a gentleman. He didn’t realize that chivalry and submission stem from the exact same root: respect, devotion, and pride in service. He saw a gentleman; my Mistress saw Her good boy. And honestly? There is no higher compliment.
great blog pute! you’ve definitely found your place with us!
pute, I really enjoyed reading this. And I have to admit, there is something wonderfully Femdom about a stranger seeing you open the car door and thinking, “what a gentleman,” while your Mistress knows exactly what kind of good boy is actually standing beside her.
More importantly, I appreciate your description of how your understanding of submission has evolved. That is something I try very hard to communicate through FemdomU. Submission does not arrive as a neatly packaged identity with an instruction manual. You learn. You experiment. You communicate. You discover that some fantasies are better left as fantasies, while other things you never imagined become meaningful parts of your everyday life.
I’m particularly pleased that our articles helped you see beyond the theatrical version of Femdom. I certainly enjoy the fun, kinky, humiliating, and sadistic sides of female domination, but those things alone don’t create a lifestyle. Authority can be extraordinarily quiet. Sometimes it looks like a command. Sometimes it looks like a collar. And sometimes it simply looks like a man opening a door because taking care of the woman he serves has become second nature.
Your comments about community also made me smile. One of the reasons we’ve worked so hard to include the voices of our submissive men is precisely because boys need to hear from other boys. You can learn a great deal from the Dommes, but there are parts of submission that duckie, Zeek, Levi, and now boys like you can explain from a perspective I simply cannot.
And yes, I noticed that little reference to “reasonable grammar.” Clearly our training program is producing results. 😉
Keep learning, keep refining your service, and most importantly, keep bringing what you learn back to your relationship with your Mistress. FemdomU can give you ideas, education, community, and occasionally a well-deserved push, but she is the woman whose good boy you ultimately need to be.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us, pute. I’m very pleased FemdomU has earned a place in it.
