Ben is currently fulfilling the terms of the bet I lost to my friend Corrine. For one week, he’s serving in her household instead of mine.
I decided to call and check in on him.
Poor timing.
Corrine answered with a laugh and informed me that Ben was “a little busy” serving her and her sister at the moment. I could hear enough in the background to know he wasn’t getting a break anytime soon. She simply chuckled and said, “Call back later,” before hanging up.
I’ll admit it caught me off guard.
It’s a strange feeling loaning out someone who has become such a regular part of my daily life. The house feels quieter without him. Dinner doesn’t magically appear. The laundry isn’t already folded. My evening bath certainly doesn’t draw itself.
I know he’s exactly where he’s supposed to be, and I trust Corrine completely. In fact, I wanted him to experience another well-run household under another Domme’s authority. That’s good training.
Still…
I don’t particularly enjoy knowing that someone else is getting all the benefits of my hard work training him.
I suppose that’s part of losing a bet.
Fortunately, the week isn’t forever, and before long my property will be back where he belongs. I have a feeling he’ll return with a few new skills, a deeper appreciation for home, and probably a very interesting story or two. I’m looking forward to hearing them.
