Showing Off Your Sub in Real Life

In today’s article, Showing Off Your Sub With Confidence, I talked about how visibility, composure, and intention are what make public play work. It isn’t about shock value. It’s about control, planning, and knowing exactly what you’re doing and why.
The other night was a perfect example. We went out to dinner as a group. Me, my husband, and all four boys. Being together gives us a kind of natural cover. A large group draws less attention, blends more easily, and makes subtle dynamics easier to hide in plain sight.
As part of scrappy’s ongoing training, I decided it was time to introduce him to public play. Carefully. Intentionally. He was wearing a plug that can be controlled remotely. His instructions were simple and very clear. He was not to make a scene. No obvious reactions. No attention. His job was to sit, eat, converse politely, and endure whatever sensations came his way without giving himself away.
At the table, the control was passed around. Each of us took a turn. A small buzz here. A longer pulse there. Enough to keep him off balance without tipping him over the edge. There were moments where he was visibly sweating through his suit, jaw tight, posture rigid, doing everything in his power to remain composed. Watching him struggle silently was delicious.
The best part was still to come.
I knew the restaurant manager. Sharon is a good friend and part of the local kink community, and yes, this had been planned in advance. After dessert was served, Sharon came by our table to say hello. At that moment, thing2 had control, and from scrappy’s expression I could tell it was turned up high.
I handed the control to Sharon.
Then I looked at scrappy and told him to stand, follow her, and obey her.
The look on his face was priceless. Surprise. Confusion. That brief moment of hesitation before training kicked in. Then he stood and followed her across the restaurant, every step measured, every muscle tense, while she casually guided him forward. Watching the two of them walk away together was one of my favorite moments of the night.
They were gone for a while. Long enough for the rest of us to finish our drinks and enjoy the anticipation. When scrappy finally returned, he looked disheveled, flushed, and very pleased with himself. He slid back into his seat, licked his lips, and leaned toward me.
“She told me to tell you I was a good boy.”
That was all I needed to hear.
It’s a blessing to know people. For much of my and krissi’s lives we moved around too frequently to achieve this other than by happenstance. The last decade or so has been different; and it’s wonderful!!
