Talking About Anal Play with Your Provider

by | Aug 31, 2025 | 2 comments

If anal play is a part of your life, your doctor needs to know. You don’t have to give every detail, but mentioning receptive anal activity helps your provider recommend appropriate STI testing, vaccinations, and screenings for issues like hemorrhoids or fissures. Don’t be embarrassed. You’re not the first person to bring it up, and they’re trained to help—not judge. Being honest about your sex life isn’t just brave—it’s responsible submission. Your health is worth protecting, especially if you’re giving your body to serve.

Thank you Nurse Jessica. I have to be truthful and say I have not shared this topic with my doctor. I will certainly do so on I’m annual in December. Thank you !

Again, I count my blessings: our dermatologist is a Domme (more by basic nature and inclinations than actual practice and experience … but she’s coming along!). And she’s helped me when I haven’t felt comfortable speaking with our (younger male) GP.
