Have you heard of Duluth Trading? Yeah, the clothing store—big on rugged men’s gear, especially underwear. They ran this promo recently: bring in an old, worn-out pair of your underwear, and trade it for a brand new pair of Duluth’s.
I’ve had a couple pairs before and liked them, but I wasn’t exactly rushing out the door for this whole gimmick. Or at least… I thought I wasn’t.
Annie saw the promo, read the fine print, and her eyes lit up. Yes, you had to actually turn in a used pair. And yes, they encouraged you to wear your old pair into the store and walk out in the new ones.
Game on.
She made me go with her, wearing one of my oldest pairs—totally stretched out, faded, and barely hanging on. Once at the store, she marched me to the changing room and insisted on coming in with me. I had to hand over my sad little undies like a donation to the gods, and of course, Annie made the whole thing a scene.
No doubt in anyone’s mind who was calling the shots in this relationship.
And I’ll say this—wow. Duluth’s underwear? Total game-changer. I highly recommend the version with the bullpen pouch—specially designed to keep everything comfortably in place. And the cooling fabric? Legit smooth and breathable. I seriously love them. Worth it.

You know my mind immediately went to Annie having your wear an old pair of panties and having you turn that in but I’m glad that’s not the case. Plus, it’ probably wouldn’t have worked out with the promo.
