Weekend with Mother

Most of the weekend has been spent catching up, which has been wonderful. As expected, she’s been thoroughly enjoying the company of thing1. My husband is out of town at the moment, but we’re hoping he can make it back before she leaves later this week.

On Sunday, she attended a luncheon for a volunteer group she’s involved with—one of the reasons for her visit. She decided to take thing1 as her escort, which, unsurprisingly, led to a few raised eyebrows and curious questions. I can only imagine the scandal if she had walked in with thing2 on her other arm! Now that would have given the old biddies something to talk about! 😊

      She is indeed – and delightfully uninhibited in her later years. By the way, she enjoyed viewing the folder of exibishboy photos I have accumulated for the project. I promised to show her the prettier pictures you’ll be taking soon. 🙂
