The First Morning I Woke Up Collared
A collar can be a symbol, a piece of bondage gear, or a declaration that a submissive belongs to a Dominant. Mine had become all three by the time I woke up beside Hannah that morning. It was still buckled around my neck, and for the first time, I understood that I had agreed to stop being merely her boyfriend. I was her property, and she intended to put that property to work.
Hannah had not surprised me with the arrangement. She had explained exactly what she wanted before she ever fastened the collar around my neck. She wanted authority over my body, including the right to use me sexually whenever she pleased. In our relationship, free use meant that my body remained available to her without her needing to ask each time, within the limits we had already established. I trusted that she would not cause me lasting harm, and she trusted me to speak if something was truly wrong.
But Hannah wanted more than access to my body. She wanted my submission to improve her life.
We both worked, and we both knew what it was like to struggle. Painting could be steady when the weather was right and the jobs were coming in, but there were also slow periods when I had more time than money. Some seasons, I could go weeks waiting for the next good job. Hannah looked at that time and saw something useful. If my regular work was not bringing value into our household, she wanted the authority to find another way for me to contribute.
Her plan was to trade my service to other women.
Sometimes a woman might provide Hannah with a product or professional service. Sometimes she might perform work that Hannah needed done. In return, Hannah would send me to serve her. What that service included would depend on the woman, the agreement Hannah made, and the boundaries already established between Hannah and me. Cleaning, errands, physical labor, personal attention, sexual service, or some combination of them could all become part of my job.
That was the original arrangement. Before Hannah ever began referring to me as her rental boy, she made me understand that ownership was supposed to produce something for her.
The Promise I Made in Bed
The night she collared me, Hannah made the arrangement feel real in the way she knew would reach me most deeply. She had already talked me through it while we were dressed and thinking clearly. We had discussed what she could offer, what she could demand, and where the limits of her authority would be. By the time we got into bed, the decision had already been made.
Still, discussing ownership was not the same as feeling it.
Hannah kept the collar on me while we had sex. Every time I started losing myself in the pleasure, she brought my attention back to what I had agreed to become. She held the collar, looked directly at me, and made me repeat the words she had chosen.
“I am yours, mind, body, and soul.”
I said them more than once. I said them while I was excited, while I was desperate to please her, and while belonging to her felt like the easiest promise I had ever made. She had complete control of the moment, and I wanted her to hear the certainty in my voice.
I meant every word. That does not mean I understood every word yet.
It is easy to promise your body to a woman while she is using it in exactly the way you want. The real test comes later, when her plans for that body are different from the fantasies that helped you agree.
Waking Up as Her Property
When I opened my eyes the next morning, Hannah was already awake. The room was quiet, the excitement from the night before had settled, and the collar was still around my neck.
I reached up and touched it. That small movement brought everything back at once.
I remembered what I had said. I remembered telling her that my mind, body, and soul belonged to her. I also remembered her explaining that she intended to trade my service to other women. In bed, that idea had felt intense and exciting. In the plain morning light, it sounded much more serious.
I was not just imagining Hannah ordering me around in our bedroom. I had given her permission to make arrangements involving my labor, my obedience, and my body. She could tell another woman that I would report to her and perform the service Hannah had promised.
The word “property” stopped feeling like bedroom talk.
I looked over at Hannah and wondered if she expected me to regret it. Part of me wondered the same thing. Had I agreed to something because I was aroused? Was I really capable of following through once another woman was standing in front of me? What if she wanted something that embarrassed me? What if I performed badly? What if I froze and made Hannah look foolish for trusting me?
Hannah listened while I admitted that the morning felt different. She did not tease me or let me dismiss the whole agreement as something we had said during sex. She reminded me that we had discussed it beforehand and that I had agreed while sober, calm, and fully aware of what she was proposing.
Then she told me she had already arranged my first trade.
I was being sent to a woman that very day.
Fear Makes Everything More Real
My stomach dropped when Hannah told me. Until then, another woman had been an idea. Suddenly, there was a real person expecting me.
Hannah had already spoken with her. They had discussed what the woman needed, what Hannah would receive in exchange, and what I would be expected to do. My first assignment was not some distant possibility. It was on the calendar, and Hannah expected me to report for work.
I had several fears competing for attention. I worried about being naked in front of another woman. I worried that I might not respond physically when I was expected to, or that I would respond too quickly and embarrass myself. I worried about being ordered to kneel, clean, carry things, strip, or provide intimate service while a woman who was not my girlfriend judged whether I was worth what she had given Hannah.
More than any of that, I worried about failing Hannah.
If she was going to trade my service, then she was putting her own reputation behind me. She was telling another woman that her property would arrive, behave properly, and complete the work. If I complained, acted ashamed of the arrangement, or made the woman uncomfortable, I would not only be a poor submissive. I would reduce the value of what Hannah owned.
That thought frightened me, but it also gave me direction.
I did not need to pretend I was fearless. I needed to remember who had sent me and why.
Finding Pride in My Value
I have worked with my hands most of my life. When someone hires me to paint, I understand the arrangement. They are paying for my time, my effort, and the skill I bring to the job. I may be tired at the end of the day, but there is pride in knowing that my labor was worth something.
That morning, I realized Hannah saw my submission in much the same way. She was not saying I was worthless. She was saying that I had value and that, because I belonged to her, she had the right to decide how that value would benefit her.
Sometimes my value might cover an expense. Sometimes it might earn her salon services, help with a project, or get her something she would otherwise have to pay for. The exact trade mattered less to me than the fact that Hannah gained from it. If she decided that an hour of my labor, my mouth, or my obedience was worth her dry-cleaning bill, then that was what the work was worth. I did not need to feel insulted by the price. I needed to deliver what she had promised.
That was the decision I made while sitting there in my collar.
I was still nervous. I still did not know whether serving another woman would feel exciting, humiliating, frightening, or all three at once. But I knew Hannah believed I could do it. She had taken the authority I offered her and turned it into a practical advantage.
I wanted to prove that she had made a good investment.
Preparing for My First Assignment
Once I accepted that I was going, my attention shifted from whether I could escape the assignment to how well I could perform it. That change mattered. I stopped treating my fear as a reason to hesitate and started treating it as part of the job.
Hannah gave me my instructions. I listened carefully because I did not want the other woman correcting me over something Hannah had already explained. I showered, groomed myself, and dressed as ordered. I understood that my presentation reflected on my owner. If I arrived careless, dirty, late, or confused, the woman would not simply see an unprepared man. She would see poorly managed property.
I also reminded myself that good service is not the same as mindless obedience. Hannah had established limits, and I remained responsible for communicating if something became unsafe or moved beyond what we had agreed. Being owned did not require me to stop thinking. It required me to understand whose interests I was there to serve.
The excitement began creeping in as the time approached. A woman was waiting for me because Hannah had offered me to her. She knew I was not arriving as a date or an equal partner looking for mutual entertainment. I was being delivered for her use under my owner’s authority.
That knowledge made the collar around my neck feel heavier, even though its weight had not changed.
My Job Was to Make Hannah Proud
I did not become the best rental boy ever that morning. I had not earned that title yet. What I made was the decision to try.
I decided that if Hannah sent me somewhere, I would arrive ready to work. I would not act as though the woman owed me reassurance, attraction, gratitude, or pleasure. She had made an agreement with my owner, and my responsibility was to provide the service Hannah had promised.
I would pay attention. I would follow instructions. I would be honest about safety and limits without using nervousness as an excuse. If I was embarrassed, I would keep working. If I became aroused, I would not assume that gave me permission to take control. If the task was ordinary, I would not act disappointed because it failed to match some fantasy. My value would come from being dependable, not dramatic.
That is still how I look at rental service. I am proud that Hannah can use me to get ahead. Plenty of people work jobs they would not choose for fun because the income supports someone or something they care about. My work is unusual, and sometimes it is sexual, but the pride is not all that different. I have something Hannah can use, and I want her to receive the greatest possible value from it.
The Collar Meant More in Daylight
The night before, I had told Hannah, “I am yours, mind, body, and soul.” I said it with her body against mine and passion making ownership feel simple. The next morning, I had to decide whether those words still belonged to her after the excitement was gone.
They did.
That was the morning I stopped thinking of property as a sexy name Hannah called me and began understanding it as my role. I was frightened, curious, embarrassed, and more excited than I wanted to admit. None of those feelings changed the fact that I had given Hannah something valuable.
I had given her myself.
If she believed my body, labor, and obedience could help her build a better life, then I was going to work hard enough to prove her right. I was going to report to that first woman, complete the trade, and come home knowing I had earned something for my owner.
That was the day I decided to become the best rental boy Hannah could possibly own.
