Beware of Nerve Damage

by | Mar 18, 2025 | 2 comments

Not all bondage ties or impact areas are safe—some can compress nerves and cause lasting injury. Wrists, elbows, and the sides of the knees are especially vulnerable. Nerve damage isn’t always immediate, so watch for tingling, numbness, or loss of sensation. Before experimenting, take time to learn basic anatomy and safe techniques. Play smart to play long-term.

I’ve seen training courses offered. Struck me as logical since both krissi and I were Scouts when kids and remember the emphasis and effort which was needed to learn to tie knots. So it follows that there’s a lot to know about tying up anything.
I just looked cursorily at a Shibari tutorial online. Immediately noticed warnings to keep roping away from wrists and ankles.
Clearly this is worth training and practice.
