I absolutely love Halloween. The house is already covered in cobwebs, glowing pumpkins, and cauldrons, and I still have more decorations that I can’t even find space for. I might have gone a little overboard this year, but honestly, that’s half the fun.

My witch costume has had a serious upgrade too. On Halloween night we keep it PG for the trick-or-treaters, but this weekend things will be a little different. I’m taking the boys to a close friend’s house for a small, very private party. Only about a dozen people are expected, but I have a feeling it’s going to be memorable.

I’ll be the witch, and my boys will be my werewolf pack. Their costumes are simple but perfect: each has a furry werewolf mask and their collar, and I’ll have them on leashes. That’s all they’ll be wearing. I’ve already told my friend I plan to make my pack howl before the night is through, and she promised to help. I have no doubt she will.
