Your body doesn’t snap back the moment a scene ends—and neither does your mind. After intense play, you need time to return to baseline. That might mean drinking water, wrapping up in a blanket, sitting in silence, or hearing a few reassuring words. Rushing off to clean up or switch tasks too fast can leave you feeling disoriented or disconnected. Warm-down time is part of aftercare, part of obedience, and part of honoring the dynamic. Let yourself come down gently.
