Still, I managed to pull together the finishing touches on my big assignment. But here’s the kicker—I was 16 hours late. Just enough to screw up the whole editorial flow. Another fuck-up on the list.

Levi, a missed deadline is a missed deadline. While there will be consequences for such, having a way to solve the problem is the expected behavior from a sub who has made a mistake. As such, it should go a ways towards lessening the consequences, as long as it remains an isolated mistake.
And, while I don’t condone the complaining, I do like the term. I had to be up at “duck fuck early” one morning this week, and yet somehow he is always up earlier.
Agree with Mizz Geena. You had a deadline for a reason, and being late affects the entire editorial process. While I am only half as disappointed as I would have been had you left us with nothing to publish, this is the type of behavior Madam Nora instructed you to improve.

3. I want a public apology post in theWHIP. No less then 250 words. Include a personal apology to each member of the editorial chain whose work you impacted by missing another deadline.
