Learning how to control your breathing during pain play can dramatically improve endurance and reduce panic. When sensation builds, take a slow, steady inhale. As impact lands, exhale deliberately instead of holding your breath. Breath-holding increases tension and can make pain feel sharper than it needs to. Controlled breathing keeps you grounded, focused, and present in your body. It can even deepen your submission by helping you surrender intentionally rather than react instinctively. A disciplined sub does not simply endure pain. He regulates himself within it.
