A poorly made chastity device is more than uncomfortable. It can cause skin abrasions, pinching, swelling, and even dangerous circulation problems. Cheap materials may contain irritants or rough seams that break down with wear. If you are going to lock up, invest in a body-safe cage made from medical-grade silicone, stainless steel, or another non-porous material. Proper sizing matters just as much as material. Measure carefully and adjust as needed. Your Domme deserves a device that is secure, safe, and not one that ends in pain or an urgent care visit.

Nothing more embarrassing than showing up to the ER with a fetish injury.
sounds like you have a story usagi?
As someone actually wearing a cage, I can definitely relate to this. Comfort and proper fit make a huge difference, especially if you’re locked for longer periods. A cheap cage might seem fine at first, but after a few hours (or days), every rough edge or bad fit becomes very obvious.
Definitely worth investing in something body-safe and properly sized. It keeps things secure and a lot safer… and like you said, nobody wants their chastity journey ending with an awkward ER visit. 😅
Plenty of resources out there to give you an idea on things like styles, measuring, fit, materials.
If you do end up going cheap, only use it as a measuring / fit tool. Don’t expect it to last, and it most likely isn’t fit for long term wear.
Take your time and do it properly.
I learned this the hard way. Several experiences with cuts and bruises. After experymenting I have te sizing down to tight but not constricting. I try to buy stainless instead of plastic. There are several more out there I want to try as I can afford them.
