Happy New Year to all our Dommes and subs! As we step into another year, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you all for a prosperous, fulfilling, and kinky 2025. While we celebrate the beginning of a new year, we must also acknowledge the challenges that lie ahead. In recent months, the political climate in the United States has shifted dramatically. With the conservative minority now holding control across all branches of our government, we face a stark reality: our freedoms, including our right to express ourselves through adult content, are under threat.

Protecting Freedom of Speech

Freedom of speech is not just a cornerstone of democracy; it is vital to the communities we’ve built and the lives we lead. But make no mistake—the new political agenda has already made clear its intention to target this freedom. These measures don’t just threaten businesses like FemdomU—they threaten the individuals who rely on these spaces for self-expression, education, and connection.

Censorship In Action

For instance, Florida’s HB 3, effective January 1, 2025, mandates stringent age verification for adult websites, compelling users to upload government IDs. This not only threatens personal privacy but has led platforms like Pornhub to restrict access in the state. Similar laws have been enacted in states such as Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Montana, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Texas, Utah and Virginia, resulting in significant limitations on accessing adult content.

Moreover, the introduction of Project 2025 poses a substantial threat to our community. This policy proposal, developed by a coalition of conservative organizations, seeks to criminalize adult content and LGBTQ+ expression, intensify censorship, and reverse legal protections under the guise of morality. The implications of such measures are profound, potentially leading to widespread censorship and the erosion of freedoms we’ve long fought to secure.

Standing Together

This is not a fight we can afford to sit out. Protecting our freedoms will require a united effort from everyone in our community—Dommes, subs, creators, and consumers alike. Here are a few ways we can begin to stand together:

Stay Informed: Knowledge is power. Keep up to date on legislation and policy changes that impact freedom of speech and adult content.
